Trying Again

I just turned 33. I find it hard to believe that it’s been 17 years since I first started running.

Growing up, I tried baseball. I loved the game, just wasn’t good at it. I played basketball and played it well, but didn’t have the size to make an impact. Then I found running. It was natural, required guts and came with camaraderie I’d never felt before.

I want to find that again.

That’s part of why I’m here. I’m reimagining this blog. I hope it helps me find running again. I’ve tried this before, with other “back to running” attempts and blogs to chronicle it – and failed. I can’t promise that I won’t fail, but I can promise that I will try not to fail.

Goals

  1. Start running three to six times a week.
  2. Begin a strength training routine.
  3. Run a 5K in June and/or July.

I think this time, I’m keeping things simple enough to start again and find running…
