You're going to see something new around here. Photos. Lots of them, I hope.
I'm turning this site into a photo blog, to permently replace my Flickr account.
When I first created my Posterous site, I wasn't quite sure what I would use it for. The service intrigued me, and I wanted to test it out before launching a full-fledged blog on it. I began using it as a way to post quick, thorough updates from events I attended. Then it morphed into a learning journal, and a place to post quick, but more-than-140-character posts that didn't fit on my personal blog.
To be honest, the posts I created before the transition didn't have much weight. And that's OK, really. In part, I always saw this space as an experimental area, so I knew the haphazard approach might lead to other good things. Now, I think it has. The photo blog makes sense for me. While I love Flickr, I personally don't use it that much, and a blog approach to my photos matches my style better. The new site fits well with my other blogs too, because now this space has a more concreate focus. Also, a big part of the inspiration for the photo blog came from a graduate school classmate, Laura Bradford, who has an amazing photo blog of her own.
For me, a content guy at heart, I just want give you the best I have to offer. So thanks for reading, and I hope you continue to do so (by looking ay all the photos!) after the change. The feed will remain the same, so no need to change anything if you're subscribed.
